How do you keep your travel money safe whilst abroad?

So why should you choose a travel money card? How many of you reading this are going to be going on holiday this year? Most of you I imagine, else why would you be on this site?!? One of the main concerns of people when they are going off on their travels is how are they going to look after their money.

Some people try and keep all of their money with them whilst they are sightseeing in some far and away country, however the problem with this is that many countries are rife with with pickpockets and thieves who will make light work of your wallet.

Why not just leave your money in your safe in the hotel room? Many people have actually had their travel money stolen from their hotel room safe, by the staff! If you can’t leave your money in your safe, then you definitely can’t leave your money in your suitcase or any other luggage.

Why not just leave your money in your bank and withdraw it as and when you need it? This is a good option if you’re happy to pay the foreign ATM transfer fees. These can quickly add up if you are making numerous withdrawals, you will quickly see you hard earned pennies disappearing into the pockets of your bank.

It is pretty clear that it is very difficult to actually protect your money when your are on your holidays. This is where travel money cards come in. They allow you to have a secure way of taking your money abroad with you. Plus, most travel  money cards do not have any foreign ATM withdrawal fees, so they save you money too!
